John Dobson, who gave a talk to this society in 2001 on Sir James Knott, has now completed a book. (published 2012).
It is titled:
'Newcastle shipowner - the story of Sir James Knott and his shipping business'.
John has received funding assistance from The Sir James Knott Trust and has donated all of the printed copies of the book to the Lit and Phil in Newcastle. They are selling the book to raise funds.
