NOTICES

Heddon on the Wall - On Christmas Day there were placed in the chancel of Heddon Church a handsome brass cross and two brass vases, kindly presented by Lt. Col. Woods of Holeyn Hall. Miss Lucy Woods also presented a lamp and bracket for the use of the Church.

There are two Bible Classes conducted by the Vicar for persons of all ages above 14; one for females on Sundays at 2pm; one for males at 3pm. The Vicar also conducts a Secular Class on Tuesdays at 7pm for youths who have left School.

At Heddon on the Wall on March 17th the choir and chancel of Heddon Church was lighted by three handsome brass Defries Safety Lamps, each being suspended from the roof by three brass chains. Two of the lamps are the gift of the Misses Freeman of Dene House and Bay’s Leap. The third is given by the schoolmaster, Mr. Child
